The discussion for a future particle accelerator is part of the European Strategy for Particle Physics and is still ongoing. A Future Circular Collider, if selected as the preferred choice, would be 3x larger than the LHC and would likely start with the collisions of electrons and their antimatter counterpart, positrons, to perform precision measurements of the particles we have already discovered, including the Higgs boson, to better understand our universe on the smallest scales. #CERN #physic
