Twenty-year-old Alysa Liu just won the Olympic gold medal in women’s figure skating, the first American to do so in 24 years.

After her awe-inspiring victory in the free skate on Thursday, Liu became the first American figure skater to win an individual gold medal in the Olympics since 2002.
